Mannerheim´s separate Coleoptera collection contains 4 cabinets and 29 boxes. The size of this collection was counted in 2026 and the result was ca. 30 000 specimens. In Addition there is more Mannerheim´s specimens integrated in coll. Coleoptera Eastern Fennoscandia, coll. Coleoptera Palaearctic and coll. Coleoptera World. These are not counted yet, but moderate estimation is ca.10 000 specimens. It could be even more especially in coll. Coleoptera Eastern Fennoscandia. In many publication it is stated that size of coll. Mannerheim is 100 000 specimens, but this seems to be over estimation. Besides those of Mannerheim, the collection includes syntypes of species described by, among others, Dejean, Menetries, Gebler and Fischer von Waldheim.
